Following the meeting organised by Eunomad with the stakeholders of civil society on November 30 2010, a “Civil society contact group” was established and met for the first time on February 28 2011. This contact group is facilitated by Eunomad. A steering committee was established and met on March 28.

The Contact Group brings together 16 organisations from the civil society and aims to provide a framework for civil society organisations to cooperate and exchange with the European institutions and other intergovernmental organisations involved in the theme Migration and Development.

The participating organisations are: Caritas Europa, CONCORD, the Red Cross EU Office, SOLIDAR, PICUM, the Churches’ Commision on Migrants in Europe (CCME), but also the representation of the Ile-de-France to the EU, the Council of European Municipalities and Regions (CEMR) and the Veneto region to the EU.
