Eunomad co-signed an advocacy letter on the project of directive establishing conditions of entry and residence of third country nationals looking for seasonal jobs. The initiative of the letter goes to a consortium of NGOs including SOLIDAR and PICUM. The co-signatories NGOs are mostly members of the Contact Group of the European civil society "Migration and Development" facilitated by Eunomad.

The letter in question was formally distributed to the Members of the European Parliament at the public hearing organised by the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (LIBE) Wednesday, April 20, 2011.

The letter highlighted the main concerns of civil society on the Directive. NGOs questioned about the full respect of the equal treatment principle, working conditions, social rights and access to the legal protection in the broader context of the Labor Migration legislation.
