A space for the exchange of co-development practices promoting migrants as citizens and actors of      development here and there.

Eunomad, represented by Pascale Charhon, will intervene during the 6th edition of the European Integration Forum on 9-10 November 2011.

The aim of this Forum is to stimulate the reflexion and to present examples of the potential roles that countries of origin and civil society organisations (CSO) play in facilitating the integration processes in host countries. The Forum also concentrates on the impact of migrants and of their descendants on the socio-economic and political development of their countries of origin and examines if existing frameworks of mobility are adapted to promote integration initiatives in EU member countries, which could benefit both migrants themselves and their countries of origin.

The first Forum was held in 2009 in order to unite in one location representants of European institutions and CSO and debate on the EU's integration policy. This 6th edition promotes the notion of "external dimension of integration", as used in the recent EU communication on integration in July 2011.

Several round-tables are planned:

Round-table A : Pre-departure measures in support of integration

Round-table B : Relationships between Diaspora communities and countries of origin

Round-table C : Integration in the light of circular migration and developement
